For agencies and designers

White-label Shopify development for agencies.

You win the client and own the design. I build it in Shopify under your name, answer to you, and stay out of the way. Happy to sign your NDA before I see anything.

How the arrangement works

Agencies and freelance designers come to me when they have a Shopify project and no developer they trust with it, or when their usual developer is booked. The usual worries are easy to guess: a developer who quietly changes the design, contacts the client directly, or vanishes halfway through. I'm a designer as well as a developer, so your design gets built as you drew it.

So the default is simple. You are my client. I take direction from you, send questions and progress to you, and never reach out to your client unless you ask me to. If you'd like me on a call to explain something technical, I'll join as part of your team.

Nothing I deliver carries my name. No credits in the footer, no comments in the code pointing back to me, no portfolio posts unless you say yes.

What I need from you

Designs in Figma (or whatever you work in) for desktop and mobile, a list of the pages and templates, and access to the client's Shopify store as a collaborator. If something in the design will be awkward or expensive in Shopify, I'll raise it before I build, not after.

The short version

  • Your name on the work, not mine
  • I report to you, not your client
  • NDA-friendly
  • Written quote per project
  • Theme built so your team can keep editing it

What I build for agencies

Figma in, working Shopify theme out.

Custom themes from your designs

Your layouts built as Shopify sections and blocks, with settings in the theme editor so you or your client can update content without a developer.

Changes to existing themes

When the brief is a refresh rather than a rebuild, I work inside the client's current theme and leave it tidier than I found it.

Store setup and launch

Products, collections, menus, apps and the go-live checklist, so your launch day isn't the first time anyone tests checkout.

Working together

A typical agency project.

  1. Brief and files

You send the designs, page list and deadline. I sign your NDA if you have one.

  2. Quote

I send a written scope and price you can mark up and pass along however you like.

  3. Build on a preview theme

You review on a private preview link and send feedback in one place.

  4. Handover

I publish when you approve, and you get notes on how the theme is set up.

Not only Shopify.

Plenty of agencies have Shopify and WordPress clients side by side. I do white-label WordPress development too, so one developer can cover both.

Abra's own pages go into more detail on Shopify development for designers and WordPress development for designers. If you'd like a standing partnership rather than one project at a time, see Let's team up.

Who you'd be working with

Ronen Hirsch

Ronen Hirsch

Abra, Los Angeles

I'm a designer and a developer, and I run Abra, a small studio in Los Angeles. Every decision is made with both design and code in mind, and the person quoting your project stays on it until launch.

Got a Shopify project on the table?

Send the brief, even if it's rough. I'll tell you how I'd approach it and what it would cost.
